In the post-fight press conference, he talked about his fight and how it played through. He also talked about his game plan coming into the fight. Paddy feels he has all the ingredients to become a big superstar in the UFC.

“I showed everyone that I can come through adversity, as well, because he did catch me with a nice left hook. All I need to stop letting people punch me in the face. I want to put on too much of a show, so I just put my hands down and get into firefights with people … can’t help myself – I like fighting. So I do let people hit me sometimes, which is pretty stupid because it could go wrong. But it didn’t go wrong.”

“This is my destiny. I’m here. I’m the new kid on the block. I told (reporters) the other day: I’m going to get a first-round finish. People think I’m a grappler and I’ve just shut everyone up. I can strike, I can grapple, I can wrestle, I’ve got the personality, I’ve got the look: The new king is here.”

“I don’t care (who’s next) and that was the fourth name I got put forward to me for this fight. Every other name, I said yeah. I’ll never say no to a fight. I’m not a b*tch-ass. A name gets put to me on the contract, I’m going to sign it and I’m going to fight them. Really I don’t care if they’re ranked or they’re not ranked or where they’re from or where it is – if it’s in their backyard.”

Paddy Pimblett

Paddy has been very vocal about his thought and his future in the UFC. His attitude towards the fight game has made him a big star in UK-based promotions. Now he plans to replicate the same kind of impact in the world’s biggest MMA promotion.
Paddy hasn’t mentioned anybody’s name yet and neither has the UFC talked about the future of the fighting British kid. Paddy in his previous interviews called out Conor McGregor. He also stated that he would love to fight Conor one day and also was confident to beat Conor. Paddy’s only goal at the moment seems to keep fighting and rise in the rankings.
