Top 5 UFC Fights To Take Place By The End Of 2021
UFC 267: Blachowicz vs. Teixeira
A UFC Light Heavyweight Championship bout between current champion Jan Błachowicz and former title challenger Glover Teixeira was scheduled to take place at UFC 266. However, the bout was pushed back in late June and is expected to headline this event. Former Rizin Light Heavyweight Champion Jiri Prochazka is expected to serve as a backup and potential replacement for this fight. The fight will be a great matchup between a ruthless champion and the veteran of the division.
UFC 267: Yan vs Sandhagen
A Bantamweight Championship rematch between current champion Aljamain Sterling and the former champion Petr Yan was expected to take place at UFC 267. The duo had previously met earlier this year with Sterling winning the fight by disqualification. Petr yan threw an illegal knew that disqualified him from the fight making Sterling the winner and also the new champion. sterling become the first fighter in the history of the company to become the champion via disqualification. Now just a month before their rematch Sterling pulled out due to an injury and is going to be replaced by Cory Sandhagen. Cory is coming off a decision loss to former champion TJ Dillashaw.

The Welterweight champion Kamaru Usman and former interim champion Colby Covington are set for UFC 268. They will be serving as the event headliner, they previously met in December 2019. Usman defended his title via a fifth-round technical knockout. This fight is one of the most intriguing matchups of all time. The duo also has lots of bad blood between them.

A Women’s Strawweight Championship rematch between current two-time champion Rose Namajunas and former champion Zhang Weili is expected to take place as the co-main event of UFC 268. The current Lightweight Champion Charles Oliveira and former interim champion Dustin Poirier are set to fight at UFC 269 which is going to take place in December. Dustin Poirier will be fighting his second title fight and it is also Charles Oliviera’s first title defense.
